The 3D scanner is a high resolution device which captures digital images of the teeth, tissue, and bite. It is quick for the patient, comfortable, and accurate. The scan is then uploaded to a file which can be viewed from all angles to get a clear picture of your bite. At the first visit a scan will be taken which takes approximately 2-3 minutes where a small wand captures those pictures of the mouth to paint a complete image. This image is then used to help aid in your treatment plan, sent to the lab for any appliances/braces, and visually to help you see what we are looking to accomplish!
