Indirect BondingFranklin Lakes, NJ
Indirect bonding allows for the braces to go on all at once instead of individually placing them one by one and slowly moving them into proper position. What it means for you is less time in the chair during the initial bond day, a more comfortable experience, and more accurate bracket position which helps speed up treatment! How it works is that at the initial visit, a 3D scan will be taken of your mouth which is then transferred to the computer. Dr. Taylor will then use your x-rays and pictures to digitally place the brackets in the most ideal spot on each tooth. Once that is complete, a 3D gel tray is fabricated which is customized to your mouth with those precise bracket positions. Now, when you come in for your day of bonding, all we need to do is prep the teeth and slide on the trays so less time in those bulky cheek retractors! An added plus with the process being quicker is less time for saliva to contaminate the bracket leading to fewer broken brackets down the road.
